On behalf of all of at St. Augustine Composite Squadron, SER-FL-173, headquartered at the St. Augustine Airport (KSGJ), I thank you for your interest in Civil Air Patrol, and welcome you to our website.

We invite you to go through our website, as this will tell you more about us, and what we do for our community, state and nation. However, the best way to learn more about all the varied opportunities in Civil Air Patrol is to visit us during our monthly meetings, and see firsthand. Commander's Message

About St. Augustine Composite Squadron SER-FL-173

The St. Augustine Composite Squadron is part of the Civil Air Patrol an auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Originally a Senior Unit, in June 2009 the Squadron was transformed into a Composite Unit. The St Augustine Composite Squadron is a volunteer organization comprised of young and senior members ages of 12 and up. The members of the Squadron participate in search and rescue missions in the south Florida region, work with local governments in training and provide support for emergency services during disasters such as hurricanes, and provide support for both drug enforcement agencies and the United States Air Force. The Civil Air Patrol provides training in aerospace education, emergency support, and communications at the squadron level for both Senior Officers and Cadets. Search and Rescue (SAR) and service in the community are the primary goals of the squadron.

ST AUGUSTINE COMPOSITE ANNOUNCES SEPARATE MEETING DATES FOR 2012

Please note that begining January 2012, the St Augustine Composite Civil Air Patrol Squadron will have separate meeting days for their Senior Members program and the Cadet Members program.

 

  • Cadet members (and supporting Senior Member Staff) interested in the Cadet Program will meet on Wednesdays until further notice from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The St Augustine Composite Civil Air Patrol Squadron in pleased to announce the 4 winners of the CAP Fundraiser Raffle for 3 one-person Glider Flight and 1 three-person Helicopter Flight.

The winning tickets for the 3 one-person Glider Flights (image) are:

Civil Air Patrol Raffle Information

Thanks for supporting our local Civil Air Patrol Unit.

The drawing for the 3-Person Helicopter Sightseeing Trip and the 3 Glider Flights will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The winning tickets will be chosen by random drawing by a DS Airshows representative. Winning names will be posted on this website shortly thereafter and notified by e-mail, telephone, or US Mail.
